Mike Stoddard
President
Mike Stoddard is the third President of West Side Decorating Center, a family-owned business proudly serving the community for three generations.
He began his journey with the company in 2000 in a stocking and delivery role before transitioning into sales, product development, and e-commerce management. In 2019, Mike stepped into the role of President, continuing the family legacy with a modern vision.
Outside of work, Mike enjoys staying active at the gym or hitting the golf course. He also has a passion for traveling, music, and chess.
Tara Kapuscinski-Medel
Design Sales
Tara joined the design team at West Side Decorating Center in 2023. She attended Baker College in Cadillac and achieved her certification in Interior Design.
She enjoys working with people and any opportunity to use her creative side. Tara has experience in construction along with tile and color design.
In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling out west, hiking the red rocks and enjoying the tranquility of the mountains.
Becky Leonard
Design Sales
Becky has enjoyed working as a designer for over 25 years. She has a design degree from S.V.S.U. and is knowledgeable in many aspects of home remodeling.
Designing beautiful interior spaces and using her creative and colorful insight has made her career fulfilling. She believes in building long lasting relationships with clients from start to finish and beyond. From floors & tile to window treatments & walls, she’s experienced in all.
In her spare time she enjoys family & friends, camping, her two dogs and any day at the beach to look for stones and shells. She also enjoys canvas painting.
Heather Schlicker

Heather has a natural passion for home styling and a strong background in customer service, organization, and project coordination.
After more than a decade in the mortgage industry, Heather brings exceptional attention to detail and a client-focused approach to every project. She loves helping customers discover their style, asking the right questions, and turning their ideas into practical, beautiful spaces.
